ABOUT ME
For over 15 years, I have operated on the front lines of the healthcare system as a Doctor of Physical Therapy. Throughout my journey, I have seen thousands of patients struggle through the same cycle: they experience a physical injury, they go through outpatient physical therapy, and then—just as they are gaining momentum—they are discharged to "self-manage" with a generic home exercise program.
My life’s work has been fueled by a growing passion to address the "missing link" in this process. I realized that to truly fix a dysfunctional movement pattern, we must look beyond the joint itself. My journey has taught me that muscle imbalances are rarely just physical; they are the outward manifestation of how we navigate the world in our body, mind, and soul.
A Clinical Detective with a Holistic Lens
With a background as a DPT, a Certified Personal Trainer, and a Health Coach, I have spent over a decade developing a "clinical detective" approach to wellness. I don't just see a "bad back" or a "weak ankle." I see a foundational domain that is being influenced by a person’s entire life story.
My passion is identifying the root cause of your physical limitations, including:
-
Chronic Pain & Compensation Chains: Understanding how a surgery from 20 years ago (like gastric bypass or a hip replacement) is creating current malnutrition or postural imbalances.
-
The Stress-Pain Feedback Loop: Identifying how work stress, domestic anxiety, and poor thought processes trigger the nervous system and immune system, leading to conditions like fibromyalgia and chronic muscle tension.
-
Spiritual Alignment: Addressing the spiritual ailments that manifest as physical heaviness, ensuring your body is a grounded vessel for your soul.
Why I Created PT on a Budget
I believe that every person deserves access to integrative physical therapy and functional movement coaching without being limited by a "broken" medical system.
"PT on a Budget" is the culmination of my 15-year career—a total body wellness encyclopedia and a 1:1 coaching sanctuary designed to help you stop "spending" your energy on pain and start "budgeting" for vitality. Whether you are dealing with sarcopenia, post-surgical recovery, or the systemic aches of a life out of balance, I am here to help you navigate the forest, not just the trees.
Your healing isn't a DIY project. It’s a partnership. Let’s align your body, clear your mind, and restore your soul.
Thanks for reading and I look forward to working with you,
Dr. Andrew Griffith PT, DPT Founder of PT on a Budget
