The Roots of My Vision: A Legacy of Form and Spirit

People often ask me why I look at the body so differently than most clinicians. The truth is, my "clinical eye" for muscle imbalances and dysfunctional movement patterns started long before I earned my Doctorate in Physical Therapy. It started at home.

A Foundation of Form and Posture

I grew up under the quiet, steady influence of two very different perspectives on the human body:

  • From my father, I learned the importance of Form. He taught me that how we carry ourselves while we work—the mechanics of the "foundational domain"—dictates how long we can stay in the game. From him, I developed a passion for corrective exercise and the technical precision required for long-term performance.

  • From my mother, I learned the power of Posture. She showed me that posture isn’t just about "standing up straight"; it is an outward reflection of our internal state. She taught me that the way we hold our bodies is often a window into our mind and soul.

These early lessons became the bedrock of my 15-year career as a therapist. I realized that my father’s focus on mechanics and my mother’s focus on presence were two sides of the same coin.

Beyond the Clinic: The Search for "Wholeness"

Throughout my years in outpatient physical therapy, I began to see that my most successful clients weren't just the ones who did their home exercise programs. They were the ones who understood that their physical ailments were part of a larger "budget."

I saw how a "heavy soul" led to the very postural collapses my mother warned me about. I saw how a "stressed mind" caused the mechanical breakdowns my father taught me to avoid. This realization is what drove me to become more than just a physical therapist—it drove me to become a holistic advocate.

Why This Matters for You

When you work with me at PT on a Budget, you aren't just getting a clinician with a DPT; you’re getting someone who has spent a lifetime studying the Mind-Body-Soul connection.

I use that lifelong "eye for detail" to find the threads that others miss—whether it’s a spiritual ailment manifesting as chronic tension or a surgical history causing a silent "resource leak" in your strength. I am here to help you honor your form, improve your posture, and reclaim your foundational health.
