If LOVE is the HEAD side of your coin, then let SERVICE be your TAIL side.
This rule applies to all aspects of a person's life, whether work, marriage or friendships. According to research it is wildly known that 80% of Americans hate their job. 80% of Americans includes a whole lot of college and graduate students that has taken out the equivalent of a mortgage in order to follow their dreams. If you do not love your job that is fine that position represents 80% of Americans. What is your TAIL? Who or what does your job serve? Your job should provide financial resources to take care of yourself and family members. The product may also help to defend America, feed the homeless, put clothes on your families back or bring a smile to a person’s face. Marriage and Friendships go hand in hand. Not all the things you do for each other comes from a Spirit of Love. Sometimes it is a matter of service, duty, vows, honor, respect that should fuel your action. This duality of expression helps a person to find strength to move forward when there seems to be nothing around to provide that extra boost in Spirit.
This leaves me with a new question? Are you unipolar or bipolar? Do you value Love only? Service Only? Or both? In my opinion, it is best to value both and be bipolar. When one side of the coin is weak then utilize the strength of the other. If one partner is weak then maybe the other partner will be resilient and strong. Life is a struggle. There is no one manual that can answer all the questions to your life. We struggle and make mistakes. But the more flexible we are in our thoughts and actions then it can potentially lead to a better result.
In closing, I would like to take the day to weigh what part of the coin do you prefer? Is this a strength or weakness in all aspects of your life? Do you find it difficult to understand and relate to others who have the other side of the coin? Do you consider yourself whole in having equal values of each coin? Where you are always whole? What is your advice to someone who may not feel whole as an individual?
